Northwest Country Band Brewer’s Grade Announces Debut Single & Music Video
Just over two months after launching the band’s rebranding, Brewer’s Grade has officially announced the upcoming release of their debut single, “Write a Song About Her.” “We have partnered with Pendleton Whisky along with The Dalles Civic Auditorium, and The Dalles Cherry Festival to promote the launch our first Brewer’s Grade Single!” says band member Nolan Hare. “This Single Release event will also be in conjunction with a major phase of our first official Brewer’s Grade music video shoot for the new single!”
The band plans to put a great deal of marketing effort into the launch. “To make this work we will need a full house in The Civic Auditorium’s Historic Theater. In order to ensure that everyone has a chance to participate we have decided to make the event free to the public ages 21 & over! We will be calling on all of our friends, family, and fans to help us pack at least 500 people in the historic Civic Auditorium Theater on Friday, April 26th.”
Members of the band and their network will be reaching out via phone, text, email, Facebook, Twitter, Google +, Myspace, the band’s website & blog, newspaper, radio, posters, fliers, and word of mouth… whatever it takes to get as many people to show up as possible. “We will need everybody’s help to get the word out and invite as many of the people as possible.” Hare says. “We are hoping to get as many rsvp’s as we can prior to the event to plan accordingly for event and video production needs.”
“Write A Song About Her” will be available for purchase on Friday April 26th via itunes, amazon.com, brewersgrade.com, reverbnation.com, and about 20 other sites.
The video shoot will begin at 6:00 with the single release party immediately following. The evening will include performances of newly arranged ‘Brewer’s Grade’ versions of many familiar ‘Unwound’ original songs, as well as the band’s typical mix of danceable good-time party music for which they have become known for across the Northwest.
In addition the to release party Brewer’s Grade will also be submitting the new single to Program Directors and DJs at radio stations across the Northwest. “We are hoping to get some airtime on some of the Northwest’s major market country stations, but will need the support of our whole network to let the radio stations know that their listeners want to hear Brewer’s Grade. We will do our best to supply all of the info needed to make a legitimate request in each of the markets we are initially targeting.”
Following the release, Brewer’s Grade plans to continue their work in the studio with hopes of another release just in time for Summer, along with plans to push their marketing and promotional efforts beyond the Pacific Northwest throughout the rest of the year.

Video Shoot Info & Upcoming Events
We have so much exciting stuff happening this Spring that it is getting hard to keep up! Here is a quick update on what we’ve been up to over the past couple weeks as well as some of our upcoming events:
We recently performed at the Oregon Cancer Ski-Out, an awesome benefit event held in Hood River, OR following a series of races on Mt. Hood. Big thanks to Nancy and the team for putting it all together. We look forward to seeing you all next year!
This past Saturday (3/16) we helped celebrate Double Mountain Brewery’s 6th anniversary with a performance at their all-day street party. This was one of the biggest parties we’ve been to in the gorge! The turnout was incredible! We shared the stage with several other bands including, Al & Sid, The Shed Shakers, Audio Amigos, and the headlining act, Hells Bells, an all-female ACDC tribute! Everybody brought their a-game. What an awesome night!
April has quite a few events that we are really looking forward to. We will be making a stop at Crabby’s Underground Saloon in Pendleton on Friday 4/4. Looking forward to seeing some of our Pendleton Round-Up friends! The following weekend we will be providing house band services for Helen Cornealious and T. Grahm Brown, two well-known Opry members and country music legends at the Columbia River Cowboy Gathering in Kennewick, WA. It is always an honor when we get to work so closely with people of this caliber who had such a major hand in building the foundations of country music.
Our biggest event in April will be on Friday, the 26th. We are planning an evening that we are very excited about! We have partnered with Pendleton Whisky along with The Dalles Civic Auditorium and The Dalles Cherry Festival to launch our first Brewer’s Grade Single, “Write A Song About Her!” This Single Release event will be the official Brewer’s Grade debut for The Dalles! In conjunction with the Single Release & debut we will also be organizing a major phase of our first official Brewer’s Grade video shoot! To make this work we will need a full house in the Civic Auditorium’s Historic Theater. In order to make sure everyone has a chance to be a part of this event we have made it FREE TO THE PUBLIC!
We will be calling on all of our friends, family, and fans to help us pack at least 500 people in the theater. In the next few days we will post full event details on our website and Facebook page. We will need everybody’s help to get the word out and invite as many of the people in your circle as you possibly can. We are hoping to get as many rsvp’s as possible prior to the event to make sure we have the numbers necessary for the video shoot to take place. We will be reaching out via phone, text, email, Facebook, Twitter, Google +, Myspace, website & blog, newspaper, radio, posters, fliers, and word of mouth… whatever it takes to get as many people to show up as possible. Anything you can do to help would be greatly appreciated. We are extremely stoked about what this evening will have in store for everybody!
We will also have another scene that will need a bunch of extra talent in Hood River at Rivertap scheduled for the following Friday. We will soon have more details on how to be involved in that portion of the video shoot as well.
In addition the to release party we will also be submitting the new single to program directors and DJs at radio stations across the Northwest. We are hoping to get some airtime on some of the major market stations, but will need the support of our network to let the radio stations know that you want to hear Brewer’s Grade. We will supply you with all of the info you need to make a legitimate request. The more requests we get, the better our chances!
We have a bunch of other cool stuff in the works right now. We’ll keep sharing more and more of it with you as things progress.
Thanks for the ongoing support. We couldn’t do any of this without all of you!
Cheers!

Anniversary and Tri-Cities Weekend Recap
Probably starting to sound like a broken record here, but WOW, what an incredible weekend! Saturday morning we were on the road early enough to see the sunrise on our way to Rainmaker Studios in Kennewick, WA. We quickly picked back up where we left off on the song that we had been recording during last weekend’s session. As the day progressed we captured some outstanding performances from everyone in the group. We are getting more and more excited about this project with every visit to the studio! We were able to finish everything but vocals on this song before we had to wrap up and head to our show.
Our evening show was a large private party for the Franklin County Cattleman’s Association Banquet & Auction at the Pasco Red Lion Inn. We were a bit worried when we first arrived at the venue because our drop shipment of Pendleton Whiskey swag for the show had not arrived at the hotel. After coordinating with every Red Lion in the area we still hadn’t located the package. It was only after a bit of investigation by our Pendleton rep, Casey, that we were able to track down the swag at a bar across town and get it delivered by the local Pendleton rep just in time for the show. Once our Pendleton gear showed up it was full steam ahead throughout the rest of the evening. During the 4.5 hour show we managed to sneak in one quick drink refill break. Other than that the party didn’t let up until the event staff had to throw in the towel because the bars were all running dry.
One major highlight from the evening was our inclusion as a featured item in the auction. After playing a short sample of a song the bidding started at $1500.00 when it was all said and done they sold two shows at $3750.00 each which helped contribute to a record year for funds raised by the Auction.
After finally getting everything packed up we were able to get back to our room and tucked into bed in time for a good solid 3.5 hours of sleep. We had to be up early for a morning meeting with our videographer before our 10:00 studio session in Kennewick. After the meeting we headed to Rainmaker Studios to begin our video shoot and start tracking another new song. After nearly burning the place down with a bit of a lighting mishap we were able to capture some great studio footage that will be incorporated in our upcoming music video. Once we finished filming we were able to get another song over half way finished before calling it a day after 9 solid hours in the studio.
Overall, it was a very productive weekend. We managed to fit a 450 mile round trip, two studio sessions, a video shoot & production meeting, an epic show, and about seven new bookings all into less than 36 hours… with pictures and videos to prove it on our facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/brewersgrade
We are going to focus on booking out the rest of our Spring/Summer schedule over the next couple weeks. Check our Shows page for an updated calendar.
Monday, 2/25 was our 1 Month Brewer’s Grade Anniversary! It may not seem like much of a milestone, but we are very excited about what we have already been able to accomplish with the new band. We cannot wait to see what the rest of this year brings!
